Ale and Hearty

Writer: JohnGJohnG

Last week, we headed North to Dunkeld and Pitlochry to admire the autumnal colours. I had hoped to pop out to Moulin behind Pitlochry to enjoy a pint of ale in the Moulin Inn but time was against me. I was delighted to find it bottled and on sale locally.

This is ale of Atholl - in my opinion a beer that tastes like a proper Scottish beer as it used to taste before the world tilted on its axis and went ludicrously hop-forward.

It's dark, brooding and malty generating a well balanced and deeply satisfying flavour (do you remember balance in the flavour of beer?).

Buy it if you can and enjoy it.
