ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is John Gailey and I've lived life to the full.

I was born in Calcutta, educated in Scotland and have gained experiences on every continent apart from Antarctica.

I've given up the world of work, after decades as a serial technologist working in the space where Law (I originally qualified as a Solicitor) and computing collide (often with disastrous results).

I've been married to the love of my life for more than 35 years and together we've enjoyed travelling wherever and whenever we can.

Weirdest place - possibly Yemen (for a whole variety of reasons, including a New year's speech that I delivered on behalf of a group of tourists, full of ghat), maybe Djibouti where you can harvest salt in one of the lowest bits of land on the face of the planet.

Hobbies - these start with sampling and enjoying all that the world has to offer in the way of food and drink from raw Ethiopian beef and distilled mead through to Michelin starred stuff.

I also enjoy scuba diving (a bit like underwater safari and a nice skill to master - buoyancy) and tooling around in our 1953 R-Type Bentley Special.

ENJOY
